Adeline Ziegenhagel, beloved wife of Arthur Ziegenhagel, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2017, at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. She is survived by her husband Art, and her sister, Louise (Ewald) Reisdorf. She is also cherished and missed by her three children; Larry (Bernie) Ziegenhagel and their children, Nathan and Kirsten (Shaun) Lal; Patty (Ryan) Renke and their children, Dayton (Whitney), Tanner (Jenny), and Danica; and Mark Ziegenhagel. Adeline married Art in 1957 and together they farmed in the Robinson District north of Elkwater. She loved the farm and her favourite activity there was gardening. This carried over to their house in town when they moved into Medicine Hat. She was a humble and kind person and her kids and grandkids were number one. No one was able to leave her house without some kind of care package. Grammy was a classic German cook and made the best homemade dishes and baking, which she was generous in sharing with her family. Adeline had a strong sense of faith that she carried with her, and you could always count on her for words of wisdom in times of need. We look forward to seeing her again one day. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Bolender officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
