Nellie Steele of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at the age of 99 years, just one month shy of her 100th birthday. Nellie was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard “Dick” Steele. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Darlene Greenfield; one granddaughter Jennifer (Lance) Nygaard; two great grandchildren Jana and Wayne, one brother Harry (Iris) Kiryk, two sisters, Mary Luchka and Sophie Eckroth, one sister-in-law Jean Kiryk as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Steve Kiryk; her husband Richard “Dick” on August 20, 1990 and her son-in-law Wayne in 2006. Nellie’s family would like to thank the staff at Good Sam’s for the wonderful care over the years. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, from 2:00 – 2:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Enslen officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
