Eileen Joyce LeBlanc of Medicine Hat passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at the age of 71years. She leaves to cherish her memory her only daughter, Angela (Derek) Boschee of Medicine Hat and her only grandson, Dayton; two sisters; Dorothy (Martin) Maschmeyer of Medicine Hat, Loretta (Allan) Stanley of Victoria, B.C. and one brother; Melvin (Shirley) Heine of Medicine Hat; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Olga and Emanuel Heine. Eileen was born in Maple Creek on October 20, 1945. As a very small child she moved with her family to Medicine Hat where she was raised and attended school. Eileen was employed as a legal secretary for many years in Medicine Hat. Her grandson Dayton was special to her and had a way of lighting up her life. Eileen was a kind and gentle woman. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff on 5 west at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital and in the I.C.U. at Foothills Hospital. The funeral service will be held in St. Paul Lutheran Church (515 Sprague Way SE) on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Ken Edel officiating. A private family interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Margery E.
