Ricardo Palomeque

Ricardo Alcides Palomeque passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017, at the age of 86 years, beloved husband of Lorraine Palomeque of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory, Lorraine’s son, Ralph (Millie) Carson, her daughter, Roberta (Ian) Sommerville and her youngest son, Brent Carson; their grandchildren, Ken Carson, Randen Samoila, Terry Carson (Laura), Tammy (Jason) Bellrose, Mark Sommerville, Chelsea Carson (Matt), Tiana Carson (Tanner) and Brady Carson; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Bob (Bernice) Desrosiers and their family as well as extended family, Pat (Jan) Janzer and Mike (Carol Ann) Janzer and their families. He was predeceased by one brother-in-law, Oneil Desrosiers.
Ricardo was born on May 20, 1931 in Catania, Sicily and raised in Argentina. When he was 16, he worked aboard a ship, working his way up to 2nd Engineer. He then went off to run powerhouses in Abaco Marsh Harbour, Bahamas as well as Texas and Louisiana. Following this, Ricardo was employed as a powerhouse engineer and Caterpillar trouble shooter at Suncor. For 26 years, Ricardo provided missionary work with the poor and disadvantaged in Mazatlan, Mexico. He was also a life long member of the Lion’s Club. Family and friends will gather in the PATTISON CHAPEL for a public prayer service on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. There will be a private family service held in the Masterpiece River Ridge Chapel.
