Mary passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Joan and Harold Cornell of Medicine Hat on Saturday, November 25, 2017. She will be joyfully welcomed on the other side by her husband Al, sisters Pauline and Ange, brother Alfred and her parents, Florence and George Hrooshkin. Left to honour and cherish her life is her sister Mabel Wudrick of Saskatoon and three daughters, Florence Sept of Innisfail, Joan (Harold) Cornell and Debbie (Alistair) Duncan of Vernon, B.C; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She often said “I would rather wear out than rust out” and she lived that motto with her forty seven year nursing career, her annual trips to Las Vegas with her daughters starting at age 65 until 92 years old and by living independently in Cereal until September of 2017. A more detailed obituary will follow in the Oyen Echo. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
