Elsie Kelley of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Elmer Kelley, passed away surrounded by family and the caring staff at Riverview Care Centre on Thursday, December 7th, 2017 at the age of 83 years. Elsie leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters Elaine (Wilton) Behiel, Evonne (Arvid) Kurpjuweit, Elva (Dennis) Wanner, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Elmer Kelley of 36 years on December 8, 1990, her grandson Kristopher Behiel, her parents Joseph and Philippina Krassman and her two brothers Norman and Alex Krassman. Elsie was born on February 3rd, 1934 near Schuler, Alberta. Funeral service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on December 12th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Clare Rattai officiating. A Private Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Elsie’s name may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stoke Foundation, 340A Maple Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 7L5 or to the charity of one’s choice.
