Vernie “Vern” Victor Guthmiller passed away peacefully Friday morning December 22, 2017, at the age of 85 years, beloved husband of Evelyn Guthmiller of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory the mother of his children Elena Thiessen, his brother Allen, his sister Lenora Hummel, his sons Perry Guthmiller and his fiancée Nancy Burroughs, Perry’s daughter Kristen along with her fiancé Austin; Mat and Denise Guthmiller, along with their children Brandon and Sara; Keith Guthmiller and Evelyn’s son Robin Hagele and his son Kent.
Vern was predeceased by his parents Edwin and Annie Guthmiller and sisters Edline Kleinknecht and Irene Kriwokon. The funeral service will be held in the St. John’s Presbyterian Church (504 2nd Street SE) on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Lackie officiating.
