Bengt “Ben” Ake Kristiansson passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the age of 74 years, beloved husband of Judy Kristiansson of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Karlene (Steve) Algra and their children, Miles, Callum, Malcolm, Katharine and Myra; Kendra (Bradley) Noel and their children Annika, Abigail, Tyler; one brother Yngve (Else-Britt) Kristiansson; brothers-in-law, Carl Nelson, Lawrence Kraeker, Doug (Gerri) Kraeker and Barry (Shawna) Kraeker; one sister, Kerstin (Christer) Hultberg as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Astrid and Rikard Kristiansson; one brother Tage (Dagmar) Kristiansson; two sisters, Lisa (Holger) Blum and Ann Marie (Erik) Andersson, and two sisters-in-law, Mary Nelson and Gloria Kraeker. Ben worked for 28 years as an LPN at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. Even after retirement, he still enjoyed meeting and talking to former colleagues and patients. The funeral service will be held in the Crossroads Church (1340 22nd Street SE) on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Cartwright and Pastor Seth Maier officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
