Mary Eva Schaan of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018, at the age of 91 years, beloved wife of the late Christian “Chris” Schaan. She leaves to cherish her memory three children Carol Kopec-Materi (Bill Kaleta), Betty (Les) Nickerson and Gary Schaan (Angie Kesslar) all of Medicine Hat; five grandchildren, Tammy Schaan, Nicole Ranger, Lealand Nickerson, Lindsay Comeau and Emelea Materi; numerous great grandchildren and one brother Timothy (Irene) Hammel, many nieces and nephews and her fur baby Pippin. She was predeceased by her husband Chris in 1980; sons-in-law Raymond Kopec and Peter Materi Jr.; one brother Simon Hammel and two sisters, Rose Schafer and Annie Getz. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. with Fr. Philip Le officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
