It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the passing of a beloved husband to the late Susan Guy; father, grandfather and great-grandfather at the age of 93 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Susan (nee Mardian) and brother, Ken. Mourning his passing are his son, Arnold (Elaine); daughter, Lorraine; grandchildren, Terry (Lisa) Moston, Ron Moston, Alison (Bob) Allen and great-grandchildren, Justin, Jordan and Jayden. Harold was born in Eskbank, SK., on July 13, 1925, staying on the family farm until joining the Army in 1943. He served with the North Shore Regiment in Holland where he was wounded in action. Harold settled in Moose Jaw, SK., after the war where he met and married his life mate, Susan in November of 1946. He worked a number of jobs until becoming a professional house painter and decorator, employed with Sammy Klein Painting and Decorating, whom he worked for until moving to Lethbridge and finally settling in Medicine Hat in 1976. Harold continued his painting and decorating profession until he retired in 1985. He was an avid fisherman although he was never able to convince his children that it was an enjoyable past time. During his retirement years in addition to fishing, he would spend time in his workshop. Harold’s creations from wood included miniature horse drawn sleighs, farm wagons and items for the yard and house. He became a victim to dementia in the later part of his life and spent his last years living at Meadowlands. The family wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of the staff at Meadowlands – Memory Lane Unit for their excellent care and comfort they provided to him – thank you all. The family will honour Harold’s life with a private graveside celebration. (Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.cooksouthland.com) Honoured to serve the family is
