In the early morning hours of October 24, 2018, at the age of 93, God granted our husband, dad and grandfather his wings and welcomed a new angel. For as gruff as he could come across, he actually had a marshmallow heart. He enjoyed playing pool, cards and watching baseball and curling. Visits and hugs from grandchildren were special. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 68 years, Elsie, daughters, Janet (Dave) Peters, Shirley (Steven) Lukey and three granddaughters, Candace Hodder, Stacey (Jason) deDelley, Shannon (Bill) Levesque, five great grandchildren, Kiarra and Daxon Hodder, Alissa deDelley, Sadie & Elliott Levesque, step grandchildren, Jeff, Colleen, Shawn and Melissa Peters and their families and Hannah Audette. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Charlotte, and siblings Teddy, Roy, Charlie and Agnes Coderre and grandson-in-law Jason Hodder. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 1:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Victory Lutheran Church (2793 Southview Drive SE) on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Diaconal Minister, Lila deWaal.
