1967 ~ 2018

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Matthew Kevin Bessant announce his passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Friday, November 30, 2018, at the age of 51 years. He left the fold of his loving family to be runited with his brother, Jason. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Alexandra and Jessica Bessant and their mother, Carmen Bessant; his mother, Rita Bessant (Wayne) and his father, David Bessant (Fay); brother, Bronson Lavay and little sis, Teresa; brother-in-law, Giovanni Aguilar. Other special people in Matt’s life include his bestie’s, Heather and Darrell as well as numerous family and friends… too numerous to mention. As a musician, artist and adventurer, Matt made an impact on everyone he met. A Celebration of Matthew’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Monday, December 10, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Guy Snell officiating.
