Eunice Wright

February 13, 1922 ~ June 6, 2019

Eunice Myrtle Wright, beloved wife of the late Leslie Wright, passed away at the Bow Island Health Centre on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at the age of 97 years. Eunice will be remembered by her loving family: son, James (Debbie); grandchildren, Darcy (Amanda), Dustin (Nikita), Dawna (Al) and Michael; great-grandchildren, Mackayla, Ryan, Sierra and Nova; sister-in-law, Theressa Pearson as well as numerous nieces, nephews and her special friend, Joe Faichuk. Along with her husband, Leslie, Eunice was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Maggie; brothers, John and Edgar; sister, Beryl and parents-in-law, James and Orpha. Eunice was born on the family farm near Kindersley, SK on February 13, 1922, and went to school in the Craigland District. Over the years, she grew up on farms in the district, before retiring to Eatonia and then to Kindersley. As her health failed, Eunice moved to the Okanagan to live with Jim and Debbie. She was later placed in long term care in various facilities where she remained until her passing. Eunice loved life on the farm, the animals and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Her wit and smile will always be remembered.

A Celebration of Eunice’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. with Major Murray Jaster officiating.
