It is with heavy hearts that the family of Leonard Leopold Gieser, beloved husband of Gladys, announce his passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the age of 84 years. Along with Gladys, the woman he loved dearly and was married to for almost 61 years, Leonard will be lovingly remembered by his children, Beverley (Frank) Mafrica, Linda (Brian) Martin, Cathy (Brad) Ternes and John (Allan) Gieser; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Marlene (Willie) Williamson and John (Heather) Gieser as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Leonard was very proud of his service in the RCAF. He was a hard worker and loved to visit with friends and family, always prepared with a good joke to make everyone laugh. Leonard was very proud of his children and loved every second spent in the presence of his family. He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched. A Celebration of Leonard’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, June 14, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. with Diaconal Minister Lila de Waal officiating.
