John Reeves
August 3, 1925 ~ June 13, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that the family of John ‘Jack’ Gordon Reeves beloved husband of Marie, of almost 66 years of marriage, announce his peaceful passing in his sleep on June 13, 2019, at St Joseph’s Home at the age of 93. He also leaves to cherish his memory his four children; Donna Marte (Dwayne Burton), Pam Schaufert (Larry Rudolph), Toni Reeves, Tom (Melanie) Reeves; three grandchildren, Elise, Jory & Lani (Kaylyn), four great- grandchildren, Gavin, Kayden, Nevaeh & Brooklyn. He is also survived by three sisters, Joy, Fern and Kay, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Hazel & T.G. Reeves; two sisters Dorothy & Vaughn; his granddaughter, Layne and daughter-in-law, Paulette. Jack was a finish carpenter for 45 years working for the Oland Family which he took great pride in (if you wanted a perfectionist carpenter, he was your man). Jack was very proud of his children and loved every second spent in the presence of his family. He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched, he was truly a gentle soul. The funeral service will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street SW, Medicine Hat on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Lackie officating with interment at Hillside Cemetery and a gathering thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility.
