October 8, 1937 – June 23, 2019
Mom went from being our Angel on earth to our Angel in heaven on Sunday, June 23, 2019, only after making sure that all of us were okay with her leaving. She lived her life for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. No sacrifices were too great or too small when it came to them. Mom will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by those she held nearest and dearest to her heart: her children, Sheila and Greg Koch, Greg and Sharon Jans, Val and Gerald Alexander; her grandchildren, her Guardian Angel Christopher Koch, Courtney and Averry Yanyk, Carie and Blake Czember, Christine and Barry Duecy, Curtis and Tenille Jans, Carissa Alexander, Cylenna Alexander (Gareth Williams), Channia Alexander (Cam Geiger) and Carlin Alexander; great grandchildren, Jordyn Yanyk, Jake and Zak Czember, Jayden Stahl, Jeremy Duecy, Lily and Chase Jans. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Gladys Strobel and their children Sandy Milsap and Keith Strobel. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Evelyn Strobel; her mother-in-law, Anne Jans and her dear grandson Christopher Koch. Mom you were the best of all of us and we couldn’t have asked for a better role model. You can rest in peace knowing that a part of you will live on in each and everyone of us. MORE WE LOVE YOU!! A graveside service will be held at Hilllside Cemetery on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet inside the main gate to the cemetery at 1:45 p.m., dress casually. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to Carmel Hospice (St. Joseph’s Home) c/o 156 – 3 St. NE, Medicine Hat, T1A 5M1.
