Robert Lewis Weeks passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019, at the age of 79 years, beloved husband of Marilyn Weeks of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory two children, Melanie and Jim Terwilliger of Hubbard, Oregon, Meldon and Christy Weeks of Orion; five grandchildren, Kirstin and Thommy White and their daughter Macie, Jaime and Guillermo Torres-Sanchez, Derek Terwilliger, Kaiden Darley and Shaylin Darley; one brother Paul and Esther Weeks of Orion as well numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Lillian and Frank Weeks.
Robert was born on September 16, 1939 and raised in the Glasford community in Southern Alberta. He farmed and ranched his whole life until his declining health forced him to move to Medicine Hat for care in 2017. Robert was very involved in his community, his church and overseas missions. Robert’s many interests ranged from aviation to photography to enjoying the outdoors, whether gardening, waterskiing or hiking a trail. Robert’s deep faith sustained him especially in his last days. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Hillcrest Evangelical Missionary Church (3785 13th Ave SE) on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor George Mills officiating. Interment will take place at Pakowki Cemetery at 5:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Life Water Canada at Lifewater.ca.
