Dennis Delainey

Delainey – Dennis August, 74, passed away peacefully on September 30th, 2019 in the care of the wonderful staff at St. Joseph’s Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Dennis is survived by Sylvia Delainey; his daughter, Sheri (Troy) Grant; his son, Steven (Anna) Delainey; and his son Michael (Tara) Delainey. He is survived by his Grandchildren Katelyn (Anthony) Schnettler; Megan Grant; Joshua Delainey; Carter Delainey; Yzabel Delainey and Gavin Delainey and his great grandson Jackson Schnettler.
Dennis was predeceased by his Stepson Phil Ogle; his parents William and Mary; His Sister-in-Laws Ellen Delainey and Dawn Delainey; and his nephew Jason Delainey.
Born to William and Mary Delainey on New Years Day,1945, in Wilkie, Saskatchewan. He was the third of seven sons and is survived by his brothers John (Geraldine); Bill (Deb); Bob (Donna); Fred; Brian (Janet) and Neil (Rita). He grew up on the farm near Scott, Sk. He was a true prairie boy at heart.
Dennis had a love for tinkering; a passion for people; found joy in the simple things in life and was a jokester at heart. He loved his family more than words could say.
Dennis had many talents and would be rightly characterized as a true “handyman”. He worked for over 40 years in a profession that he loved. He started with Otis Elevator as an Elevator Technician. He then went on to open his own business – Delainey Elevator Service Inc.
We will be hosting a celebration of life at Windsor Chapel – 704 Windsor Street, Saskatoon Sask. on Saturday October 5th at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the St. Joseph’s Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Honoured to serve the family is
