It is with a heavy heart that Don announces the passing of his beloved wife, Patricia Marilynn Phillips. She passed peacefully at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at the age of 77 years. Along with Don, left to cherish Patricia’s memory are her three children, Bradley (Leila), Jeffrey (Bernadette) and Donald (Laverne); three grandchildren, Kelsey Wagner, Alexander Phillips and Anthony Phillips; siblings, Lanny Rourke, Leslie Rourke and Joan Rourke as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Ben and Veronica Rourke. Pat loved travelling which was a must having married a military man. Their family made many moves throughout Don’s career and Pat’s nursing skills were a welcome addition to each community that they called home. She nursed for over 40 years before retiring to enjoy travelling the world. Along with Don, she visited numerous destinations throughout Europe and Canada and especially enjoyed each visit to Hawaii. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Pat’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, October 18, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. with Captain Ron MacDonald officiating.
