Discovery of hand grenade prompts call to police

MEDICINE HAT— Experts from CFB Suffield were called in after a grenade was found in a home on Park Meadows Drive S.E. Medicine Hat.

The grenade was among items found by family in items belonging to a deceased man.

After examination, it was determined the item was a World War 2 era grenade, and while it was once operational , it no longer is explosive.
