Several police items taken from ALERT ICE team member vehicle

CALGARY — A car being used by a Medicine Hat City Police member assigned to the ALERT Internet Child Exploitation unit, was the victim of a prowler in Calgary on Wednesday night.

According to Calgary Police, the incident occurred at 7:50 p.m. in a parking lot on Sunridge Way Southeast.

Medicine Hat Police Service say the unmarked vehicle belonging to the officer had its window smashed and several items stolen.

Items stolen include a loaded handgun magazine, handcuffs, a baton and OC Spray. A bullet-proof vest with “ALERT ICE Unit” written on it was also stolen.

The Calgary Police Service is asking for the public’s help in locating the stolen items.
