Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – September 30

Sep 30, 2019 | 2:15 AM

Mad Hatter
With the crappy weather, retail stores should close. When roads are bad, we encourage people to stay home but never fight the consumerism disease. People don’t need to be shopping. For their safety and those public servants who have to brave roads all because the big bosses need to make a bonus. If roads are being closed so should stores.

Mad Hatter
It’s September and it’s snowing. Why, oh why can we not catch a break? Long winter last year… snow in September this year? It makes me so sad. I need to get out of Canada.

Mad Hatter
I am not happy about traffic daily driving up 13 ave. S.E. and not stopping at the crosswalk on 13 ave. S.E. beside the AMA. So many people including students that have to cross that walk to catch a school bus and seniors right beside wanting to cross to go to the co-op are in constant danger. HOWEVER, thanks to the municipal works for re-painting the crosswalk. Just hoping now that Flashing lights will be installed.

Mad Hatter
That the city can say roads are unsafe and we shouldn’t travel on them, yet so many places of work are still open. If it is a non-essential place of employment (hospitals, dental offices ect.) why open? I really don’t want to die on my way to the job I hate.

Mad Hatter
Mad to hear about the young guy who got robbed by the mall trying to help a homeless person. He’s trying to do something nice and this ungrateful jerk decides to punch the guy and steal his wallet? That’s ridiculous!

Mad Hatter
The road by Costco and by the Hospital are terrible! Why are we constantly fixing the same roads over and over but not repaving the ones that really need it?

Mad Hatter
That this stupid city charges a service fee to pay for a ticket on top of the exorbitant ticket fines for “speeding” in an area that the flow of traffic allows for a 60km an hour limit.
I see people going through stop signs, red lights and speeding through subdivisions, yet how often do we see photo radar in these areas?!

Mad Hatter
It snows, and people forget how to drive. I was going straight through the light and someone was turning left. Instead of waiting for me to make my way through the light, they decided to go first. Obviously had to SLAM on my brakes to avoid hitting them and because of the snow, I spun into oncoming traffic. Luckily no one was coming, but all because some idiot decides normal road rules don’t apply to them.

Mad Hatter
At the batty old lady who thought she could skip ahead of a line of people at Shoppers. How entitled are you?

Mad Hatter
That my organic salad comes in a plastic container wrapped in more plastic. Why Canada?

Mad Hatter
That we do not have a good runner store in Medicine Hat. There really are very few salespeople selling runners who have a clue what is a good runner for this activity or that fitness activity. They never look at your existing footwear to see how they wear, do you under or over pronates. I can ask the same question at the same store to three different salespeople about an exercise activity and get three different answers.

Mad Hatter
Watched Marketplace about recycling and what really is happening. We need to find ways to reduce more. Stores should be finding ways to reduce bags, give customer money back for not using a bag.
