WINNIPEG, MB — Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau has once again apologized after a third image of him in blackface has emerged.

Speaking at a campaign stop in Winnipeg, Trudeau said he was deeply sorry about his actions, calling them a regrettable mistake.

“Darkening your face, regardless of the context or the circumstances, is always unacceptable because of the racist history of blackface,” Trudeau told the crowd at Old Market Square.

Time Magazine released a photo of Trudeau taken in 2001 wearing brownface at an Arabian Knights themed gala when he was a teacher in Vancouver.

During a Wednesday evening news conference, Trudeau apologized for the incident. When asked if there were other instances of him wearing blackface or brownface, he confirmed there was a second incident which occurred when he was in high school.

Thursday morning, Global News posted a video of a man in black face, which the Liberal Party confirmed as Trudeau.

When asked if there were other instances where he wore blackface, Trudeau did not answer.

More to come.
