MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat High School Mohawks will forfeit their spot at the Alberta Schools Athletic Association Rugby Provincial Championship.
The team confirmed to CHAT Television on Wednesday that they are pulling out of the tournament due to an injury-shortened roster.
According to head coach Quinn Skelton, two starters were injured during the South Zone final on Monday, putting the roster at 16 healthy players.
Skelton added student athlete safety could be put at risk if they were to play this weekend in Lethbridge.
