Tigers freeze out ICE in first game back from break
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Captain James Hamblin led the way in style for the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday night, helping the team to a 4-1 win over the Kootenay ICE in their return from the holiday break.
Hamblin netted both the game-winning goal in the second period and an insurance marker in the third to secure the victory for Medicine Hat.
Ryan Chyzowski and Ryan Jevne scored the other two goals for the Tigers, helping the team pick up a valuable two points against their divisional rival from Kootenay.
Martin Bodak was the lone goal scorer for Kootenay on Friday, netting his seventh of the season with 45 seconds remaining in the second period.
