Chamber launches survey on Air Canada changes
MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat and District Chamber of Commerce is looking for feedback from about the changes to Air Canada flights in Medicine Hat.
Earlier this month, Air Canada reduced the number of departures from Medicine Hat to two a day (11:35 a.m. and 7 p.m.). The airline previously departed Medicine Hat four times each day.
Air Canada’s flights at regional hubs in Western Canada are run by Jazz Aviation. Jazz uses a larger plane, which increases the number of passengers that can fly on it. Air Canada said in a news release that multiple factors, including “demand for services, aircraft availability, matching the capacity (aircraft size) to demand, and ensuring that flights are scheduled to maximize connections to and from the hub airport,” influence scheduling decisions.
