Truck driver in Broncos bus crash pleads guilty to all charges

MELFORT, SASK. — The truck driver charged in connection with the fatal collision involving the Humboldt Broncos team bus has pleaded guilty to all 29 charges.

Jaskirat Singh Sidhu entered the pleas during a court appearance in Melfort, Saskatchewan Tuesday morning, according to the Canadian Press.

Sidhu was charged with 16 counts of dangerous driving causing death and 13 charges of dangerous driving causing bodily harm in connection with the crash, which took place on April 6 near Tisdale, Saskatchewan.

The Broncos were heading to a playoff game in Nipawin when the semi driven by Sidhu crashed into the team bus. The crash killed 16 people, and injured 13 others.
