Senator walks back on inquiry into Armstrong murder case
MEDICINE HAT, AB — A senator who called for a public inquiry into the Casey Armstrong murder case has walked back on the issue.
Senator Kim Pate said Thursday she is being asked by Scott’s lawyer Andrea Serink to not speak about the case, in which the two women accused were granted a stay of proceedings.
“I’ve indicated that I’m postponing, rather than cancelling, but postponing making comments about it… I certainly don’t want to jeopardize, in any way, Wendy Scott’s situation,” Pate said over the phone on Thursday.
