Mohawks rugby team qualify for Provincial Championship

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat High School Mohawks rugby team punched their ticket to the provincial championship Monday night.
The team, which consists of players from Hat High, Crescent Heights High School and Monsignor McCoy High School, stormed to a 29-17 victory over Lethbridge Collegiate Institute to claim the Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association South Zone championship.
Statistics from the game were not available.
The team will compete for a Tier 1 Provincial Championship in Calgary starting Friday. Provincials will wrap up on Saturday.
