ATB Financial donates $6,000 to Medicine Hat College for bursaries
MEDICINE HAT, AB — A donation from ATB Financial will help ensure Medicine Hat College students will be able to avoid financial problems during their education, in addition to helping students develop their entrepreneurial spirit.
The bank donated $6,000 to the college Tuesday afternoon, with $5,000 of the funding supporting student social entrepreneurship projects at the college, and the remaining funds being allocated to emergency bursary funding.
“It’s a great benefit to our students,” said Tracy Stroud, business development officer with the college. “We’ve had a long-lasting relationship with ATB, but them deciding to fund the social entrepreneurship side is a first for our partnership…we’re really excited to grow this partnership and go in that direction.”
