Rattlers climbing leaderboard at CCAA National Championship
MEDICINE HAT, AB — Temperatures in the mid-20’s, and a golf course in prime condition created ideal scoring conditions for the second round of the CCAA National Golf Championship at Desert Blume Golf Club on Wednesday.
Connor Watt of Humber College in Toronto paired his opening round 71 with a 68 to hold a one stroke lead at the halfway mark. Three are tied for second, including Daniel Campbell of the UFV Cascades, and teammates Olivier Menard and Laurent Desmarchais of the AL Boomerang.
Matt Taylor continues to lead the charge for the men’s team out of Medicine Hat College. The Hatter sits 17th individually after signing off on a 74 on his second round. Taylor closed his Wednesday with a roar — draining an eagle on the 18th to better his opening round by a single stroke.
