Amazon.com to add 750 full-time jobs at Calgary-area distribution centre
CALGARY – Amazon.com Inc. says its first fulfillment centre in Alberta will add 750 full-time jobs to its Canadian workforce.
The company is partnering with QuadReal Property Group on the development and management of a new fulfillment centre, which will be a 600,000-square-foot facility in Balzac.
The employees will pick, pack, and ship items ordered from the Seattle-based e-commerce giant.
The Calgary-area facility is Amazon’s seventh fulfillment centre in Canada. It is expected to open in Fall 2018.
