Tigers look carry momentum into Halloween night matchup with Americans

Oct 31, 2026 | 10:30 AM

Following a thrilling come-from-behind 4-3 shootout win over the Spokane Chiefs last night, the Medicine Hat Tigers will look to keep their momentum rolling tonight as they take on the Tri-City Americans.

The Tigers will enter the more rested team after Tri-City lost 3-0 in Penticton last night, their second shutout loss in their last four games.

Medicine Hat completed their second third-period comeback of the season in last night’s win over Spokane, overcoming a late two-goal deficit with a pair of goals 82 seconds apart to force overtime.

Tigers forward Markus Ruck extended his point streak to five games in the win, adding an assist on Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll’s first of the season.

Special Teams has been an area of success for Medicine Hat over their up-and-down last five games.

Their powerplay has gone five for ten, while their penalty kill has gone 15 of 17 after both had struggled through the opening month.

The Am’s last meeting against the Tigers came in a 4-3 overtime win inside Co-op Place off a game-winning power-play goal from Cruz Pavao, who is tied for third on Tri-City in scoring this season with seven points through 11 games.

Along with Pavao, the Tigers will look to keep standout forward Eli McKamey at bay, who leads the Am’s in scoring this season.

McKamey was acquired this offseason from the Victoria Royals as part of the trade that sent Savin Virk to Victoria.

Puck drop from the Toyota Center is set for 7:00 p.m. MST, with the pre-game show beginning at 6:45 on WILD 94.5 FM.
