Medicine Hat’s Jesse Florkowski has won the Gletchell Division at the North American One-Armed Golfer Association Championship.

A match play final against Vince Biser went 18 holes before Florkowski earned the victory in the unassisted category on his home course of Connaught Golf Club on Thursday.

This marks the seventh title for Florkowski, the same amount his opponent Biser had going into the final. Florkowski had defeated Steve Shipuleski earlier in the day, while Biser had beaten Ryder Barr.

It wrapped up four days of competition at the course.

Three other divisions also had winners.

Billy Frey won the Parr Division over Trevor Belcher. The division is for golfers aged 55 and older, including both unassisted and assisted players.

Blair Williams won the Sanders Division over Randall Mackus. The division includes both assisted and unassisted players, with course handicaps and each player’s handicap score to determine the best net score.

The Fullgraf division went to Robert Walden, who was the lone golfer in that category. His opponent didn’t show up, but he sure did, shooting a three over par through his first two rounds. The division allows the golfer to use anything to assist their one hand touching the club for a golf stroke.
