Playoffs begin at North American One-Armed Golfer Association championship at Connaught Golf Club

The tournament semi-finals are set for tomorrow at 8:30 a.m., with the championship matches in the afternoon.

The public is welcome to come out and watch.

The tournament is split into four divisions, with 32 golfers competing.

Florkowski is playing in the Gletchell Division, which is unassisted and requires a golfer to have only one hand touching the club for any stroke.

Additional divisions include the Fullgraf, which allows the golfer to use anything to assist their one hand touching the club for a golf stroke. Arizona’s Rob Walden is the lone golfer in that category. He shot three over par through two rounds.

The Parr Division is for those aged 55 and older, and includes both unassisted and assisted players. The top golfer heading into match play was Billy Frey with 14-over par in two rounds.

The Sanders Division includes both assisted and unassisted players, with course handicaps and the player’s handicap score used to determine the best net score. Randall Mackus had the best net score after two rounds.

There aren’t any golfers competing in the Cooper Division, which is for women, both unassisted and assisted.
