Medicine Hat Tigers title defense ends at the hands of the Prince Albert Raiders in East Final
The Medicine Hat Tigers title defense came to a close Sunday night following a 7-6 Game 6 loss to the Prince Albert Raiders, who will advance to take on the Everett Silvertips in the Western Hockey League Finals beginning Friday.
The Raiders took control late in the second period, scoring three unanswered to lead 6-3 heading into the third period.
The defending champs would rally, getting within one twice, but an insurance tally added by Riley Boychuk for his second of the night would prove the difference as the Raiders would hold off the Tigers comeback effort.
Medicine Hat saw six goals from six different goal scorers in the loss.
