Apr 24, 2026 | 12:46 PM

RCMP in Oyen have laid multiple charges on April 20, 2026, following a concerned resident reporting that two individuals were on their property unlawfully.

The two suspects fled on foot upon the officer’s arrival, but were located nearby and arrested with assistance from neighbouring detachments, Alberta Sheriffs and residents.

As a result of the investigation, RCMP recovered a truck stolen from Stettler, a loaded sawed-off shotgun, a set of hydraulic rescue tools, a slip tank, a quantity of substances believed to be cocaine and methamphetamine, and numerous other stolen items and break-and-enter tools.

The individuals have been identified as 33-year-old Robert Wade Jameson, a resident of Stettler, and 35-year-old Colten Quast-Agema, a resident of Lacombe.

Jameson has been charged with 13 offences, while Quast-Agema was arrested on outstanding warrants from the Lacombe Police Service and has also been charged with 15 offences.

Some of those offences include a break and enter to a residence, mischief over $5,000, possession of stolen property over $5,000, and possession of a controlled substance.

Jameson has been remanded into custody following a judicial interim release hearing and is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Hanna on May 1, 2026, with a further court date set for June 24, 2026.

Oyen RCMP is thanking everyone involved in this incident and encourages residents to continue to report suspicious persons and vehicles.
