Cypress County crews respond to a water line break in Irvine

A water line break in Irvine caused a temporary service disruption for fewer than a dozen homes in the Mavista Acres subdivision.

A statement from Cypress County said the break occurred overnight, with crews going door-to-door to notify affected residents while working throughout the day to restore service.

Water service is expected to be fully restored before 9 p.m. on Thursday.

Officials advise residents to flush their taps for 10 to 15 minutes once service returns as a precaution.
