Sunday is cloudy with a high of 8 C. Cloudy periods are expected overnight with a low of minus 2 C.

🎀 Live Music at Your Preference Kombucha

FRIDAY

Your Preference Kombucha is marking its fourth year of operations with an anniversary celebration on Friday featuring live DJs, product samples and community activities.

The event will feature sets from Scotty Buckets, Ohmzone and Jamma, along with the launch of a new line of probiotic sodas.

Admission is $10, which includes a door prize entry and a donation to the SPCA.

The anniversary celebration runs from 5:55 p.m. to 11 p.m.

🎀 Live Music at Casa Amigos

FRIDAY

Casa Amigos is hosting a night of live music tonight featuring touring indie rock act These Estates, along with local Medicine Hat band Playverb.

These Estates, originally formed by John Cameron and now performing as a trio, are bringing a night of high-energy to a community atmosphere.

Doors open with a $15 door charge. Organizers are encouraging residents to come out and support live, local music for a night of high-energy performances and community atmosphere.

FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY

The Broncs and Honky Tonks Indoor Spring Rodeo returns this weekend at the Cypress Centre Fieldhouse, kicking off the 2026 season for the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede.

The event runs from Friday to Saturday and features bull riding, barrel racing, saddle bronc, bareback, tie-down roping, team roping, steer wrestling and steer riding, along with the Down in the Dirt dance on Friday and Saturday nights.

Organizers say the rodeo offers an early-season opportunity for competitors and a family-friendly preview of the summer schedule.

FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY

A movie is shown at the Historic Monarch Theatre each day this weekend.

Friday is Good Will Hunting, an Oscar-winning film beginning at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Saturday will feature a screening of 101 Dalmatians, a timeless, family-friendly movie. The show begins at 2 p.m., with doors opening at 1 p.m., and at 7 p.m., the showing of Back to the Future will take place, giving audiences a look into the past as the characters do the same.

Sunday will have Jurassic Park on the big screen for a midday showing at 2 p.m., with doors opening at 1 p.m., for a classic adventure.

Admission is $5, and the concession cost is $5 for two items. Payment is only accepted in cash.

🐯 Medicine Hat Tigers

FRIDAY and SATURDAY

The Medicine Hat Tigers open the second round of the WHL playoffs on home ice Friday, hosting the Calgary Hitmen in Game 1 at Co-op Place.

Game 1 is set for Friday, April 10th at 7 p.m., with the pre-game show at 6:30.

Game 2 follows Saturday, April 11th at 7 p.m., also with a 6:30 p.m. pre-game.

Will Bryant will have the call for both games on Wild 94.5 with Lance Doll on colour.

🐦 Signs of Spring Nature Walk

SUNDAY

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is hosting a Signs of Spring Nature Walk from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, beginning at the Nature Centre in Police Point Park.

Interpreters will teach participants how seasonal changes affect ecosystems in Medicine Hat, as well as look for returning migratory birds, budding trees, and emerging insects.

The family-friendly activity does not require registration and is free for anyone to attend.

SUNDAY

Note: comfort food + drink is transforming into a full-scale live music venue on Sunday at 8 p.m. for a special performance from indie rock collective Nightshades.

The collaborative group features four Canadian songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, known for their rotating vocal duties and genre-blending sound.

The venue will not have its usual setup for an open floor format, with a full bar and no food service, creating a concert-style atmosphere for the night.
