Medicine Hat police request public assistance in locating missing man

The Medicine Hat Police Service are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing Medicine Hat man, Derek Dunn.
The 29-year-old was reported missing on April 2, 2026, and an investigation into his whereabouts commenced immediately.
Police said investigators have been able to track Dunn’s movements to the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.
With the assistance of the RCMP, Dunn’s vehicle was located unoccupied in a remote area near Pemberton, B.C., with a ground and aerial search conducted in the area where the vehicle was found; however, Dunn was not located.
