Medicine Hat Tigers aim to advance to second round in Game 5 against the Regina Pats

Apr 4, 2026 | 11:35 AM

The Medicine Hat Tigers are one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference semi-finals and will look to punch their ticket tonight in Game 5 against the Regina Pats.

The Tigers enter on the heels of a 4-2 Game 4 victory in Regina, where four unanswered goals helped move the Tabbies one win away from the second round.

Tonight, the Tabbies will be without defenseman and co-leading scorer, Jonas Woo, who has been suspended for one game due to “inappropriate comments” made towards Regina in Game 4.

The Tigers should expect reinforcements back despite the absence of Woo, as trade-deadline acquisition Luke Cozens is expected to make his playoff debut tonight.

Cozens was the Tigers fifth leading scorer in the regular season and put up 22 points over 30 games after being acquired from the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Through four games, Medicine Hat has outscored Regina 20-10 and have seen 12 different skaters find the back of the net.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. MST from inside Co-op Place.

The pre-game show begins at 6:30 p.m. on WILD 94.5 FM.
