Medicine Hat Tigers prevail over Regina Pats in Game 4, take 3-1 series lead

After conceding the game-opening goal, the Medicine Hat Tigers would score four unanswered goals en route to a 4-2 Game 4 win over the Regina Pats.

The Tigers now lead the best-of-seven series 3-1 and will look to close out their first-round matchup Saturday night in Game 5.

Medicine Hat saw goals from Gavin Kor, Kade Stengrim, Liam Ruck, and Noah Davidson, with the Ruck tally serving as the game-winner.

Carter Casey earned first-star honours in his first-career playoff win after turning aside 28 of 30 Regina shots.

Andrew Basha was named the game’s third star, picking up a pair of assists in the win.

Regina saw goals from Zachary Lansard and Ruslan Karimov to bookend the Game 4 scoring.

Game 5 goes Saturday night inside Co-op Place, where the Tigers will look to book their ticket to the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
