Feb 28, 2026 | 9:50 PM

After giving up the game’s opening goal, the Medicine Hat Tigers rattled off eight unanswered goals to beat the Calgary Hitmen 8-3.

Andrew Basha led the offensive charge with a four-point showing, while Luke Cozens was the lone Tiger to score twice, netting his 23rd and 24th of the year.

Bryce Pickford, Yaroslav Bryzgalov, Cam Parr, Josh Van Mulligen, and Markus Ruck each recorded multi-point nights in the win.

Jordan Switzer was named the game’s third star after turning aside 21 of 24 shots faced.

Aidan Hesse was pulled after the first period after allowing three goals on ten shots in the opening frame.

Eric Tu came in to relieve Hesse and didn’t fare much better, allowing five on 12 shots in the final 40 minutes.

The Hitmen offense came courtesy of Julien Maze, Kale Dach, and Luc Trevors.

Medicine Hat ends the regular season series 7-1-0-0 against the Hitmen for the second straight year.

The Tigers now head on a two-game road trip, beginning Tuesday against the Regina Pats.
