Snowfall warning in place for Medicine Hat area on Friday

Environment Canada has issued a yellow warning for snowfall expected to last from Friday morning until early Saturday morning.

Heavy snowfall totals of 15 to 30 cm are expected throughout the day, with the intensity increasing through the morning.

The heaviest snow is expected to fall in the vicinity of the Cypress Hills.

Travel may be challenging as visibility is reduced at times.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for travel and prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
