Wind Warning for southern Alberta including Medicine Hat on Thursday

Wind gusts of up to 110 km/h are expected today throughout southern Alberta from the BC to Saskatchewan borders.

A yellow warning for wind was issued by Environment Canada for southern Alberta on Thursday morning.

The weather provider says that wind gusts will be up to 90 km/h farther east near Medicine Hat.

It adds that west winds have strengthened this morning, and will diminish by early Friday morning.

Driving conditions are expected to be difficult, and damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible.

It is advised to secure loose objects and prepared to adapt your driving for changing conditions.
