Video: Students from Medicine Hat Public School Division perform Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Middle school students with the Medicine Hat Public School Division have staged the first showcase of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, with more performances on the way.

The Students in Grades 7 to 9 have been rehearsing since the auditions in October.

Cast members said progress has been strong, crediting the time and commitment of both students and directors.

Alexandra Middle School teacher and counsellor Annetta Labash thanked school staff and volunteers for their help with directing, casting and rehearsals.

Labash said the production would not have been possible without all of the support received.
