Three former Medicine Hat Tigers named to Olympic rosters
Three former Medicine Hat Tigers will represent their countries at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy.
Competing in men’s ice hockey will be goaltender Mads Sogaard with Denmark, and a pair of defencemen, with Kristians Rubins representing Latvia and Tomas Kundratek playing for Czechia.
The 25-year-old Sogaard is a member of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators. He has yet to play a game with the team this season, only seeing backup duty, but has been in the net for 15 games with the AHL’s Belleville Senators.
Sogaard played two seasons with the Tigers from 2018 to 2020.
