Tigers rematch Rebels, looking for longest win streak since 2007

Dec 30, 2025 | 11:00 AM

The Medicine Hat Tigers are in Red Deer tonight for the second half of a home-and-home against the Red Deer Rebels.

The Tigers took the first game Sunday afternoon with a convincing 7-4 victory while extending their win streak to a league-best 12 straight games.

It marks the Tabbies second longest win-streak since at least 1996 and matches their longest win streak from last season, when they won 12 in a row on two separate occasions.

Their lone longer winning streak came during the 2006-07 season, when the Orange and Black rattled off 16 straight wins.

Win streaks aren’t the only streaks on the line entering the game; Markus Ruck, Bryce Pickford, Jonas Woo, Liam Ruck, and Ethan Neutens all enter on multi-game point streaks, with Pickford riding an eight-game goal streak, and Liam, an eight-game assist streak.

Along with the Tigers winning ways, Red Deer will aim to snap a streak of their own, as the Rebels enter on a seven-game losing skid.

Puck drop from inside the Marchant Crane Centrium is slated for 7:00 p.m MST and the pre-game show begins at 6:45 on WILD 94.5 FM.
