Salvation Army in Medicine Hat has surpassed its fundraising goal for the Christmas kettle campaign
The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle campaign in Medicine Hat has surpassed its fundraising goal, thanks to continued community support from residents of Medicine Hat and Redcliff.
The campaign had raised $130,689.80 as of Dec. 23, 2025, exceeding its $130,000 target. By the afternoon of Christmas Eve the total raised was $139,672.80.
Funds raised through the kettle campaign support daily operations at the Salvation Army’s Community Resource Centre, where about 100 hot meals are served each day, along with outreach programs and year-round community support.
Chief Secretary Colonel Margaret McLeod, who grew up in Medicine Hat, has visited the community during the holidays, noted that all money raised locally remains in the Medicine Hat area to support local programming.
