Dec 23, 2025 | 7:23 AM

The Medicine Hat Mavericks have announced Andrew Bench as the team’s pitching coach for the 2026 season.

Mavs owner and general manager Greg Morrison said in a statement that the team is excited that Bench has chosen to spend his summer in Medicine Hat.

“He has a great blend of experience as a former college pitcher, current GA [graduate assistant] coach at Milligan (Tennessee), and strength and conditioning,” Morrison said.

“He also brings experience in baseball technology, which will add to our organization’s continued development.”

Bench said in a statement released by the Mavs that he is grateful and excited to be given the opportunity to lead the Mavericks’ pitching staff for the summer of 2026.

“The Mavericks have a history of providing a great product of baseball to the Medicine Hat area. I can’t wait to invest in the community and the players in pursuit of the 2026 WCBL Championship,” Bench said.

“I’m excited to share my passion for the game with players and fans alike. Let’s go Mavs!”
